Lightly hazed otherwise clear brown ale with a nice moka head. Sweet malt smeel with notes of apples, and light peat. Some wet dog too. In mouth, the smokeyness comes out, like a fine scotttish malt whiskey, the ,alt is too overly sweet, and a nice little hops in finale. Lighter bodied but very good. Bought at CJs in Potsdam NY, fall 2004.

On draught at Sunset Grille 9/10/2005. Had to opt out of the 22ozer and just get the pint of this and I’m glad I did. Appears unfiltered, murky, brown-bread colored with light chestnut tinges, some slight tan-beige colors on the edges. Head is large and bubbly, slighlty fizzy and collapses very quickly to a one-finger amount of bubbly foam, but is retained there. Off-white to very light beige colored. Slight, spotty lacing. Aroma of bananas, light bubble gum, almost a dry spiciness from cinnamon or nutmeg. A bit of simple sugary malt, pumpernickel or rye breadiness and a hint of dry cherries. Flavor is full-on bananas with a dose of bubble gum on the finish. Dry, exceedingly so, with a pathetic excuse for a malt body. Grainy on one hand, but then loose, fizzy and watery on the other, it dosent exactly wow me with the mouthfeel. Dull bananas, dull spiciness lingering (clove, allspice), bit of appleskins and dark berries, but there just is no maltiness here. What a shame, could have been pretty good if so.

"Created to aid in deciphering the puzzles along life’s road." The puzzle I never solved with Blind Faith was: Where are the hops? It poured promsing enough, a dark amber with beige head. The aroma was strongly of malts with just a hint of Cascade citrus. The flavor was of subdued hops — light grassiness and just a wee hint of grapefruit.. The malts came through earthy. The finish was bitter, but lacked the crisp bite found in my favorite IPAs.

Bottle. Simple golden with a small head. Flavor of wheat and some sweetness... maybe a touch of clove. Nothing special here... kinda ordinary. Drinkable, but not exciting.

Clear orangish with no head. Unfamiliar aroma... not a huge aroma, but it’s there. Flavor is... well, kinda lacking, a bit like unsweetened koolaid, but not even that strong. Decent, and I’ll give it another shot now that I’ve read about it... but I wasn’t overly impressed.

Pale golden, slight cloudiness, medium head. Almost no aroma at all, a touch of wheat. Very clean, even bland, but nice! Zesty and refreshing minty wheat malts, a touch of spicy hops, clean finish. Very typical but nicely done.

Funky aroma, some ringwoody buttered caramel, some kind of vague fruitiness, peachy or persimmon. Flavor quite the same. Amber color nice, if a little cloudy. Weird but not bad.

Cloudy goldish, smallish head. Weak aroma, some ringwoody notes of buttered caramel. Touches of spicy hop. Flavor gets more spicy hop notes, slightly cleaner than the aroma. Clean, mild finish.

I am a wheat fan but only moderately fond of this brewer - and tend to be rather leery of American Wheat as a style. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a clear pale yellow color with only a trace of a white head that fades instantly. The aroma is faint malts and faint hops. The flavor is light malts and a hint of banana. A rather poor wheat.

This is a fairly new brewer for me. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a chestnut color with a small tan head. The aroma is strong with grapefruity hops. The flavor is strongly grapefruity with some nutty malts and a hint of caramel underneath. The balance is nice but the hop flavor does not live up to the promise of the aroma.
