Bottle A bit tollhouse cookie dough aroma. Red brown, low brown creamy head. A tiny bit of roast and chocolate, but quite diluted.Watery body. Cookie aftertaste.

Undated bottle (probably 2004). It would make sense that the second Magic Hat beer that I like, is hated by most others and rated a lowly 2.16. Haha, oh well. Typical pale lager pour, clear gold, with a good white head. Unlike the Famosa that I had before this, the aroma on this is not vegetal, not skunked and actually quite good. Mineral water, lightly floral hops, good grassiness. Flavor is clean, crisp and lightly biting, with a rather even flavor throughout. Not too watery, not at all relative to the style. Pretty decent stuff. You’ll note I don’t talk too much about the big and various flavors in the beer, as there arent many, but there were also no off-flavors. A bit of honey and grain round it out. A nice little session beer.

Hazy blonde mead with a faint honey aroma. Light and watery, with a touch of honey, and some cinnamon. Watery. lacks in character. Bottle sample at brewery, Dec. 04.

On tap at brewery, Dec. 04. Yellow fizzy beer with no head. Light malt in aroma and light malt taste with very little hops. Boring offering.

Bottle Orange amber, big bubbles, foamy head. Slightly metallic pine and honey aroma. Some faint herbal edges in the tastenotes, minty aftertasete. Medium to light body, smooth mouthfeel. Overall a quite nice composition.

Bottle: Poured a clear brown looking ale with a below average head with very little retention. Aroma is standard bitter for IPA. Taste is also quite bitter thought not as much as the west coast IPA. Little trace of water at the ends kind of ruin this one for me. Anyway, still better then some other Magic Hat offerings but nothing that I would really seek again.

Deep black stout with a thick creamy moka head. Caramel and toffee with vanilla in aroma. Choclate and oatmela in mouth with light buttterscotch notes. Oily moutfeel with a rich and thick body. Very good!

Reddish brown ale with a small off white head. Light vanilla caramel in aroma. Woody in mouth and lots of roasted malts and coffee notes. Lighter bodied. Falls flat in mouth after a few seconds of tasting.

Bottle: Poured an amber looking ale with a nice huge head with good retention. Aroma is quite hoppy and some sweetness can be detected. Taste is quite sweet at first and includes a lot of malt with a medium dry finish. A bit of citrus taste (orange) is also included in here - orange This tastes more like an APA then English Pale Ale; anyway it is enjoyable but nothing to write home about.
