Bottle from Bier Koning. Slightly hazy gold beer. Little white head. Light palate - airy. Not as sweet as a lot of Tripels but still sweetish. Also has a little peppery spice. Creamy malt underneath. Joins up well. One of the better of the many Dutch Tripels.

Bottle, 75cl corked, courtesy of fonefan. It pours an unclear, brown body and a small, off-white to beige head. Caramel, alcohol, dried fruits and a herbal touch in the aroma. Hints of licorice. The flavor has a fine blend of caramel, dried fruits and alcohol, some bitterness chimes in towards the end. It’s full-bodied and warming, slightly sticky. Lasting finish with caramel, alcohol and some licorice notes. Well, not in the league with the finest German doppelbocks, but it’s a fine beer anyway. 110319

Bottled @ Dutch "the Good, the Bad & the Ugly" tasting. Hazy light brown color, short head. Aroma of caramel, toffee. Sweet, bit dry, wheat, cookie, hint of alcohol. Hmm, bit unbalanced I think, but the aging gives some bite to it. And I like cookie now and then.
