Pale yellow and hazy. Bready with fruity notes. Doughy soft beer with light fruity hop character. Low bitterness. Interesting - reminds of some USSR brewpub lagers.

Draught at the Hoan Kiem restaurant
Dark brown with some haze. The aroma is toasty with light molasses and nuts. Chewy sweet malts, vaguely nut/molasses oriented. Finishes relatively dry for the style.

Draught@Hoan Kiem/City center location. I ate some yellow chili before this :) Dark nut brown color, steady creamy beige head, some lace. Aroma of brewing mash and chocolate. Flavor is very chocolaty with toasted malts in the aftertaste. Caramelly, fizzy, Czech-type dunkel.

Draught@Hoan Kiem/City center location. Golden color, good creamy head. Brewing mash, malts and ash in the nose. Harsh alcoholic flavor with some hoppyness. Some brewing mash too in the flavor. Not very personal, but has at least some kick in it. I was not as excited as Per.

Draught at Legend, HoanKiem location. Hazy pale golden, rich creamy head. Evident grassy nose. Very dry, crisp and grainy with lots and lots of grassy German hops. Strict and correct, an unfiltered arch-German pilsener. Extremely dry and bitter. If there’s anything to complain about it would be that the ligh tbody struggles to uphold the bitterness, which makes it slightly metallic. An excellent effort and a bit of a change of pace with a German style beer in Hanoi, wher nearly all brewpubs are strongly rooted in the Czech tradition.

Draught at Legends, HoanKiem location. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Fruity phenolic nose. Rather sweet and light bodied. Wheat malt and phenols are evident, esters are nor. A bit mushy but still refreshing. A reasonable weizen, and the only one I could find in Hanoi.
