Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is resinous hop with malt, pine resin, notes of ripe orange and grapefruit, hint of caramel. Flavour is fairly bitter with a mild sweetness. Medium body. Resinous vibes, malty and bittersweet. Good.

From tap at Bierfestival Wolvega. Big bourbon with vanilla, sweet malt, caramel, toffee, notes of fudge, alcohol. Sweet flavour with warming booze in the finish. Full body, more like a BA Barley Wine than a Tripel but I'm not complaining. Remarkably good.

Dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Slightly vinous aroma, black tea, caramel. Taste has an unexpected tartness given the style. It’s begun to go off. Or am I drinking an unexpected take on the style? It’s not overly vinegary, more like tart/sweet red grapes mixed with a pleasing, tea-like bitterness underneath. Drinkable, but still feels off.

Hmmm overwhelming rhum, it’s a bit off balanced for me.. strong, firm roasted, chocolate, the taste is a bit alcoholic

Pa. Coffee, roasted malts, average roastiness, licorice, some light laurel, tasty, light creamy texture, could use some more BA

Slightly off-white head with low hop aroma, spicy, malty sweetness and moderate caramel flavour with tropical and stone fruits, smooth, low carbo, low bitterness and nice alcohol warmth. Nice for an amber ale! (3.9)

Mooi logo heren 👍🏻 zout is vrij merkbaar, caramel en alcoholisch ( en dat met maar 8.1%), BA duidelijk merkbaar, blend voor mij niet optimaal.
