Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear pure gold body that supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth grapefruit flowing into spicy earthiness and grassy hops. The taste delivers smooth malts and just short of rich hops that quickly ramp up into hop flavor dominated by hop bitterness. I get grapefruit and pine and grassy hops ringed by spicy earthy hoppiness. This is just deep and full of hops and really quenching my need for hoppy goodness. Right on!

Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a clear deep gold body that supports a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting near vibrant tropical passion fruit with a sense of spicy earthy hops in the background. Wow! this smells great. The taste delivers juicy sweet yet modestly bitter passion fruit flowing into growing mango and pineapple like hoppiness. The hops attain a moderate degree of bitterness and then the hops tale off into a smooth almost soft funky fruity passion fruit finish. Fun fruity beer. Love it. Awesome treatment.

32oz growler, filled at the brewery, pours with a nice dark mahogany colored body that supports a light mocha colored head of foam. The aroma pushes up notes of coconut, firm levels of flowery lime leaf and chocolate. The taste delivers smooth chocolate, some dark roasted malts and a modest degree of chili pepper meat and then it quickly gets into firm levels of spicy sort of flowery and firmly lime leaf notes. Toward midway the chocolate and lime and floral like notes take turns weaving in and out of the experience. Good gravy this is rich and bold and a terrific sipper where there’s virtually no notice of the massive ABV.

32oz growler pours with a crystal clear copper body that supports a thin off white head. The aroma pulses with big floral, flowery and lime notes with spicy floral hops and some maltiness around the edges. The taste is similar as I get sweetened lime to lemon grass and firm floral sort of flowery notes. Behind all of that are thin citrus tangelo like hops and a mild malty sweetness. Pretty nice but the lemon/lime flower sensation is strong.

This 11.2% ABV monster, poured up on tap at AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016, exhibits an almost inky dark void of a body that has thin dark brown edges and supporting a thin mocha colored head of foam. As I swirl the glass for another aromatic pull I notice the beer virtually stains the glass with its deep dark beeriness. The aroma offers up dark chocolate, some dark baker’s chocolate and then a spicy sort of vegetable note, dark roasted malts and cinnamon like spices in the background. The taste is smooth almost to the point of being velvety with rich dark chocolate goodness. Behind all of the chocolate is a perfect supporting level of cinnamon and nutmeg like spiciness heading to midway. Into the finish it becomes somewhat spicier with kind of a candi sugar like sensation. As the beer warms the chocolate depth just gets deeper and richer and more rewarding with every sip.

Poured up on tap at AZ Strong Beer Fest 2016 where it exhibits a nice deep dark body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up straight up baker’s chocolate that has a tart edge to it as well as some chocolate brownie to the end of the draw. The taste delivers an initial tartness that’s almost lemon like and then it quickly gets into a dash of salt and then dry bitter dark baker’s chocolate. It stays sort of lemon tart to sour to midway with some chocolate murmuring around until the finish where it’s just smooth fading chocolate goodness. Wow, cool beer. Definitely different and it speaks directly to Ryan’s outside of the box thinking.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a dark mahogany colored body that supports an off white head that leaves behind some sheet lacing. The modest aroma offers up dark roasted malts, spicy licorice notes and a dash of chocolate around the edges. The taste delivers dark roasted malts, some mild spicy black licorice and then slivers of toffee and dark bread. To midway the chocolate moves forward and then helps close the experience. Nice easy going roasty brew.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a deep dark light trapping void that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up yummy dark chocolate, dark roasted malts and inviting pumpkin meat. The taste delivers rich smooth silky dark chocolate yum flowing into dark roasted malts, spicy black licorice and a nice pumpkin pulse. Wow, rich yum. The pumpkin is right on the money and takes this to another level with perfect flavor balance. Wow, dark chocolate smoothness, nearly burnt malt crustiness and meaty pumpkin meat where you can easily tell it was toasted (oven-d) pumpkin meat. Damn! Well done. Best pumpkin beer I’ve had to date. So glad I was lucky enough to try this. I hear it was a beast to put together and brew and may not be repeated in this same mouthwatering fashion.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear amber body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up pumpkin pie spices, pumpkin and then some malty notes. The taste delivers spicy winter spices like cinnamon and ginger as well as some pumpkin and a bit of spicy licorice. This has a nice balance where the spices are in check and the pumpkin adds just the right vegetable meatiness.
