Canned 9/4/24, drunk 3/1/25.
Heavily cloudy, raspberry-violet. Pinkish head is lightly creamy, moderately well-retained.
Light lactic acidity and earthy berry with no big sugar or anything problematic.
Sweeter, but comforting and balanced, as a result. No punchy lactic acid or dirty lactose notes. Fruit is surprisingly delicate, authentic, very nicely balanced. Rich malts. Yeah, it's on the sweeter side but I'd rather that than a scratchy, lactic, thin, dry mess. I drank the whole can, which is not something I often do with kettle sours.

50 cl bottle vintage 2017 (13,09%) @ St. Mary's Park Aroma has bourbon, sweat, rubbery tones and licorice. Flavour has alcohol, rubbery tones, red wine, mellow chili and licorice. Boozy and not that clean but okay stuff anyway. Reminds me of Mikkeller Black.

Growler, filled at the brewery, pours with aclear reddish purple body that supports a thin white head. The aroma offers up a brief waxy note, berry and berry like flowers and then full on berry pomegranate. The taste delivers pomegranate berry juiciness and tartness with slight acidic tartness and thin saltiness around the edges. It heads to midway with a thin body and berry notes. Toward the finish it picks up a flowery sort of waxy leaf note that doesn’t impact the enjoyment. Neat beer. Refreshing.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear pure gold body that supports a thin near white head. The aroma offers up smooth malts, soft sweet smelling banana and a dash of spiciness as well as a faint hint of citrus off in the background. The taste delivers smooth soft fairly rich sweetness with nectar sweet malts and smooth modest sweet banana. To midway it picks up spicy hops and some citrus hop juiciness. Solid smooth drinking beer.

On tap at Real, Wild & Woody Beer Festival, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Nose brings out lots of booze, followed by chocolate and clashing roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with loads of booze, a little cocoa and roast. Jagged, harsh and all over the place. Meh.

On tap at Real, Wild & Woody Beer Festival, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Nose is earthy and sweaty, bringing out the watermelon in a weird way. Flavour is similar, with lots of sweat, cardboard and stale cardboard. This is really terrible. What the fuck?
