27/4/2024. Bottle shared at fonefan Ulfborg tasting. From Norwich Arts Centre fundraiser following World Beer Awards. Pours dark hazelnut brown with minimal head. Aroma is toffee, plummy, yeast, nut, dried fruits, fig, slight medicinal edge. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. One of the more interesting Chinese beers I’ve tried.

Aroma is dark cherry, dried fruits, bread, toffee, wood, hints of chocolate and rhubarb. Medium sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Medium body, soft carbonation. A beer which divided opinions but I liked it.

ABV: >8.0%. Hazy looking a medium red amber colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, sweet malt, artificial, perfume, cherry - almonds, yeast. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, artificial, almonds - cherry, perfume, soapy bitter, caramel - sweet malt, yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily - sticky, carbonation is soft. [20240427]

Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, phenol, sweet yeast, sweet malt, caramel, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming.
