Tasted from the bottle in August 2006, Wien. Light yellow color, extremely cloudy. Tall, fine head. Extremely strong lemon aroma. Sour, with just a touch of sweetness. Very aromatic. Somewhat like a lambic in its nose. Sour flavor, with lemon and spice. Good malt, but little sweetness. Good hops, but it is ruled by a refreshing, sour flavor. Very drinkable; fantastic. Dry, sour, hoppy finish, long lasting. Maybe the best bottled Austrian beer I have tried, certainly the most interesting and original.

Bottle: cloudy, golden, bigger, slowly collapsing fluffy white head; moderate fruity-yeasty nose with a clean sweet-malty background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, quite soft MF; longer sweet-fruity and slight bitter finish. Good, well drinkable Zwickel.........

04/01 0.5 l can from Spar in Semriach. Pale golden bodied with medium head. Lemony aroma, nothing more discernible. Flavor is fine, quite sweet as usual but not unpleasant or too artificial. Long and sweet finish. Usual radler, I can say I liked it although I am enough of radlers for some time as had too much of them here in Austria.

02/01 0.5 l can from Spar in Semriach. This beer was recommended by a local beer admirer, so let’s see. Pours golden body with medium head. Aroma is nice, sweet malt with flowery hops. Bitterish flavor quite ordinary for a pale lager, thin bodied. Finish is bittersweet, quite short. Unless too low carbonation it is not so bad, but definitely not even nearly as the best around.

Canned. Pale yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is hops and saltwater. Flavour is saltwater and grassy hops, in a not too good mix. Cheap-o supermarket beer most likely.

Test vom 4.9.2006, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 6,6,6,6,8,6 - 6,10

Canned(500ml). -what to say about a radler that is similar to all others, and only relevant difference is in the brewers name and the way that label or can looks like, acidic lemon taste
