Bottle LCRBM08. Leather and liquorice in the shy nos. Black coloured, no head to speak of. Quite sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light bodied. Lingering, a bit drier, bitter-sweet finish, repeating the aromas of liquorice and leather. Not too bad......

Short-lived beige head over black beer with dark-beige reflections. Smelling as pure liquorice-extract. Sweet, thinned liquorice extract, like children-made tea from liquorice. Maybe some alcohol, though I’d never guessed as much as 6%. Very Egyptian stout.

Can, 8%. Weak syrupy aroma. Clear golden colour, small white head. The flavour is quite sweet, and slightly grainy. Bready finish though not too old. Massive maltiness without getting too sugary. Balanced by the alcohol. I expected worse.
