On tap at the brewpub. Pours near black wit a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of sweet dark grains with a bit of toffee and a hint of bitter coffee. Flavor is mainly a combination of sweet dark grains toffee, butterscotch and a hint of coffee that comes out in the finish. A bit sweet but nice.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear pale gold with a white head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has a decent amount of corn and hay backed by a bit of sweet butterscotch. Flavor is similar with butterscotch and sweet grains as well as a bit of corn.

Draft at Calumet. Hazy orange-tan, thin white head. Another horrible, way below par offering from Calumet. While the rye sort of works with the disgusting off flavors, this beer is still terrible.

Draft at Calumet. Hazy orange-tan. Big foamy white head. Wow, what an asstastic IPA. Full of butterscotch off tones, flat out off and bad. Gross butterscotch all the way. Disturbingly bad, the worst IPA I’ve ever had. Congratulations.

Draft at Calumet. Hazy orange-brown. Pronounced smoke aroma. Amber malt tones, slightly watery mouthfeel. Soapy hop balance, some underlying butterscotch tones. OK, kind of awkward.

Draft at Old Fashioned. Filtered orange tan. Thin head. Buttery, definitely susceptible to the Calumet diacetyl curse. Completely missing the mark, should embarrass the brewer. Grainy, buttery, nasty swill.

Draft at OF. Opaque black-brown color with an excessively large off-white head. Smooth and chocolate centered, a very nice beer. Lots of creamy chocolate flavor, with a very smooth body. Easy drinking and full of flavor. A great dark session beer.

Draft at the OF. Thin, yellow-orange color, looks filtered. Minimal head. Creamy aroma which matches the taste. Very Cream Ale, tastes kind of like a diacetyl bomb, which you don’t see in a Pils that much. Has some light background hoppiness, but still dominated by the butterscotch creaminess. Not a great Pils by any means.

Draft at the OF. Deep brown-black color. Deep dark malt aroma, lots of rich chocolate tones. Light crisp hop balance. Medium to full bodied, quite a nice Dunkel. Creamy and luscious, a step up from the standard version for sure. Some light coffee notes as well. Sweet toffee/caramel finish.

From old notes. All malt, with no perceivable hop presence. Light copper color. There is a drop of honey in here, but not much of it. Very much like an Oktoberfest.
