Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has guava and papaya with sweet onion and sweet grains supporting. Flavor has earthy tropical fruits, dry citrus and a touch of sweet onion.

On tap at the Stanley Beer Hall. Black, with a small, tan head. Heavy coffee and dark chocolate, with some smoke, and black bread. Sweet and malty, with a heavy bitterness. Syrupy, sharp, and grainy. Not great.

Sample at Trail's End. Pours a clear, bright, orange color, with a fleeting, bubbly, head. The aroma is roses, syrup, allspice, caramel, and resin. Sweet, with a sticky, hard bitterness. This isn't great. It's big, dank, and strange.

Taster at the brewery - not sure why this is not technically a Quad - clear amber - it is quite light and drinkable for its strength, with pronounced spice to balance the sweetness, a bit of chocolate, cherry, raisin, caramelized sugar - finish has spice and moderate alcohol warmth.

Taster at the brewery - dark ruby - caranelized sugars, raisin, spice, light earthiness - unfortunately, there is a strong medicinal character as it warms (think cough syrup) - pass.

Taster at the brewery - lightly hazy dark gold - nose is mild, a little musky tartness, white grape - flavor is sweet, but also mildly tart, and these qualities don't really mesh well, particularly when the boozy warmth of the finish comes - some green raisin, pepper, white grape, apple - meh.
