Cask @ Kash, Chester [011215]
Very dark brown, beige head, soft lacing
Aroma of sweet fruity dark malts, no roast
Taste of dark fruits, some spicy notes, dark caramel, touch of roast, flavour is a bit flawed
Palate - Medium body, rather sweet, alcohol quite well hidden. Finish is quite dry, slight roast comes though, soft spicy
Overall - Quite good, but not quite there yet

Bottle from Kash 22 Brew and Chew. Appearance - amber with a decent head. Nose - biscuits and toffee. Funny apple notes that don’t belong. Taste - more green apples. Toffee biscuits. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a dry finish. Overall - not sure this is quite right.

On cask at Kash 22. Appearance - opaque brown to black with a nice head Nose - toffee and chocolate. Some biscuit. Taste - more of the same. Not much citrus coming through. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - decent but would’ve liked more fruity hops.
