Bottle: Poured a deep amber color lager with a nice foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of lightly caramelized malt is quite enjoyable. Taste of biscuit malt is very refreshing with limited complexity. Body is quite full for style with good carbonation as well. Well brewed and easily drinkable which I bet was the goal of this one.

On tap. Pours with a clear orange-copper body with a small off-white head. Aromas are of honey, biscuit, light flowery hops and a touch of fruity esters (huh?). Flavors of caramel, bready, crisp. Balanced towards malt sweetness. Bland. Light bubbles. Thin.

Taster from bottle. Glunz Beer Expo, April ’10. I will finish my notes from this year-ago event today! Healthy red to brown in color. Some thin, bubbly foam coming out of the bottle. Pretty sweet but with some caramel or even Belgian candi notes, but not too sugary. Not much hop balance, but a nice malty, again still sweet lager. Very tasty, and at the end of a long afternoon of sampling, I still like this.

Sampled from the tap at NotB. Poured a cloudy copper amber with a brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges. Aroma had a red wine tart note with some sweet grain, sweet bread and a bit of earthiness and a good amount of backing barrel. Flavor started with slightly sour red fruit with a growing sweet bread and grain note that leads in to a slightly dry finish with some backing barrel.

Pint draft at Lemon Tree, Downers Grove. Nice smell, hint of fresh yeast over a light malt nose.Cloudy amber body with just a few bubbles feeding into a lacy, creamy head. Taste is very full. Richly malted with toasty, nearly caramel Vienna malt, crisp with just the right choice of mostly noble hops. Some unfiltered yeast comes out halfway through, and a deeper caramel note toward the end.

From a bottle acquired at beermuda in new ken. Smells pilzy and a little veggie on the pop. Some pilsner bite on the first taste. Much less bite than stronger pilsners so its a little enjoyable even tho it does have a definate beer personality. Pale colored and medium pilsner finish. Decent beer experience.

22 oz.bottle. Pours a hazy deep yellow color with small head. Produced some lacing. Aroma is of citrus fruit; orange and lemon, and spices, coriander being most noticeable. Taste is more bitter up front then becomes slightly sweet with lots of spice in the finish. To me it has a slight lemonade flavor as a aftertaste. Different beer....

22 oz. bottle, pours murky reddish brown with a small head. Fruity nose, with toffee and alcohol. Flavour of complex fruits, well-balanced sweetness vs. bitterness, caramel and a slight alcohol finish. Very well-done.

The Half Pint, NY ($6): Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma of grain, hops, and some sweetness. This is certainly no super dry German pilsener (even though it was dry-hopped), instead it was somewhat sweet (no surprise that a lot of people are speculating about the corn... but maybe it was the rye). There is moderate hops, but not in a really interesting way. I mean it is a very drinkable beer, which is not at all offensive, but then again not all that great.
