Description
The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains our flagship pub based in Salthill; our owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brew pubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and have grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. We now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.

With the installation of our new brew house we are turning our focus towards exporting and making our beers available in the UK and Europe

On tap at Craft Room. Hazy golden body, white head. Green fruit, peach, sweet maltiness in the aroma. Perfumy, fruity, peachy oppy taste. Mild, scant to no bitterness. Okay. Drinkable, flawless really, just the most boring GB I've had so far.

Sampled @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque pitch black color, average sized light brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, heavy whiskey, heavy barrel aging, alcohol. Taste malts, roasted malts, whiskey, wood, alcohol and alcohol bitter. Medium to full body, lightly oily texture, average carbonation. Not bad, but over the top barrel ageing imo. A bit one-sided as well, not a lot of depth. 7-4-7-3-13.
