Description
United Dutch Breweries in Breda was created when the Belgian Interbrew closed the Breda Oranjeboom brewery in 2004, which it had taken over in 1995. Oranjeboom's export department carried out a management buy-out and continued independently with Oranjeboom's brand portfolio, which was acquired from Interbrew. The beers are not brewed anymore in Breda but elsewhere.

Can 50 cl. Yellow-gold with a little haze, fluffy white foam. Aroma: a little banana, milk wheat, slight sourness, loaf, a little spicy. Slightly sweetish taste, wheat, loaf, a little banana, quite banal.

Cork and caged bottle. Says product of France on the bottle but made in the Netherlands. Pour is a crystal clear dark gold with a huge white head. Aroma is not much. Some pale malt is about it. Flavor is again not much. Some sweet pale malt and a very minor coriander and orange peel. Kind of bland but for a $6 750ml worth a pick up just to see what it offers.

33 cl can from a 365 discounter poured into a Tulip. Slightly hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, floral hoppy notes. It's slightly herbal. The taste is bitter. Medium body. Drying, fruity grassy finish. Somewhat bland.

750 c&c at 6.5% from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours amber tinged gold with a decent foamy white head. Aroma has orange zest. Med body. Flavor is orange zest and some yeast. A bit malty but definitely towards dry. Decently bitter. A slight banana/clove note nearly hidden by the zest. Note: the label indicates orange peel and coriander. Didn't find the coriander tho, and it's nothing like a wit beer.
