(bottle, 33cl, with thanks to Quack-Duck) Hazy, amber colour with a tall and off-white foamy head. Fruity and flowery hoppy aroma with notes of peach and citrus, accompanied by mildly malty notes and caramel. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Soft malt character with hints of caramel, backed by mainly fruity and slightly resiny hops; a tad slim and mildly bitter finish with fruity hoppy notes. Easy-going fruity hoppy Lager. 19.VII.16

Die Brauerei Schrems pflegt gute Kontakte zu Industriepartnern vor Ort. So wurde dieses Bier ursprünglich für das Hanfdorf Reingers gebraut, aber aufgrund des Erfolgs schnell auch weitervermarktet. Die Idee, Bier mit Hanf zu brauen, stammte nicht von einem zugekifften Hipster-Braumeister, sondern hat eine lange Tradition seit dem Mittelalter. Hanfblüten geben dem Gebräu neben dem Hopfen zusätzliche Würze. Botanisch sind die beiden Pflanzen auch nahe miteinander verwandt. Das Bier ist nicht zuletzt aufgrund der Hanfzugabe sehr würzig ohne wie die stark gehopften amerikanischen Pale Ales zu schmecken. Sollte man einmal über ein Fläschchen stolpern, so kann ich es getrost empfehlen.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with a small white head. Malty, light fruity and hoppy aroma. Light sweet taste with medium bitterness and some fruits. Medium body and soft carbonation.

33cl bottle from Vienna Airport. Pours slightly hazy amber with a fair, off-white head. Malty, fruity and somewhat hoppy aroma with mild notes of caramel, grass and herbs. Moderate sweet and mor tasty and flavourful than expected. Finishes moderate bitter. Fairly easy to dr and enjoyable enough.

Floschn(Diky, pane profesoře!): Deep golden, small foamy layer, cloudy;bready to chalky nose, some caramel in the background; mild to moderate sweet-bitter flavour; not soft and light bodied; short chalky and caramelly finish. Hardly drinkable…

Thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks simple but okay. Beer in the glass very zippy, small head. Starts malty, grasy, light sourish. More and more mold and soapy. Finish could be more balanced, still quite grasy-sourish. Not my favourite.
