bottle at home bought at the Merkur next to my place. golden, clear shiny color. medium big white head. smells light grainy, bready, light yeasty, some malty sweetness, I also get a light herbal note. medium body, light oily texture, soft carbonation, tastes grainy, quite sweet, bread notes, some grass. light bitter / light burned grainy / bready finish. drinks quite ok. a bready / grainy taste lingers on the aftertaste, which is a bit unpleasant for me.

On Tap. Golden with a small, white head. Aroma is light malt with some grain and decent hops. Taste is much more malt than hops; medium malty flavour, some grains and a light bitterness in the end. Medium body with a short finish. It´s a good, classical Maerzen with a high drinkability.

Bottled (from Alko). Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is grape fruits along with some bready, earthy and herbal notes. Flavour is quite much grape juice mixed with some bready and earthy notes. In a way more refreshing than many German radlers, but then again it feels rather thin and also very much like a low abv beer mixed with grape fruits. (No lemon flavours here imho...)

Keg at the Lazy Fox, Fulham. Slightly darker than lager yellow. Aroma not really what I was expecting: caramel with a bit of dried fruit. Bittersweet taste, fairly uniform. throughout taste profile. Oily and slightly flat texture. Not overly exciting.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours brown with a short-lived beige head. Caramel aromas, light herbal note maybe. Taste is sweet, toffee. Dries out on the finish, but thin. Ok.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy golden amber, thick, long-lasting white head. Strong herbal and malt aromas, weetabix and cornflakes too. Taste is light sweet, sugary almost. No real hop presence. Clean finish, but thin.

Bottled (from Alko). Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is bready malts along with some slight grainy and herbal notes. Flavour is a nice bready and grainy maltiness, but also having surprisingly much hops and wooden notes to it. Still hides the ABV rather well, which means it could do with even a slight bit more to give it a slight alcohol kick as well. A bit on the mediocre side.
