Handpull cask at the New Baron of Hinckley, Hinckley. Golden and mostly clear with a frothy white head on top. Sweet sticky aroma of lemon curd, honey, fresh grass. Sweet taste with a basic hoppy bitterness and a touch of sulphur at the finish. Bitter lemon and Buttered toast notes in the aftertaste. A golden by numbers but a competent one.

Handpull cask at the New Baron of Hinckley, Hinckley. Light copper and clear with a small off-white head. Sweet toffee aroma with not a lot of room for anything else. Taste is unsurprisingly malt-led but along with the malty caramel sweetness there is an odd medicinal character. It's silly yet unbalanced at the same time. It isn't terrible but my goodness there are issues.

Clear dark brown with tiny head. Aroma is malt, caramel, toasted, roasted malt, chocolate and bread. Flavour is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, bread, toasted, sweet and a little bitte.r
