24/10/2022. Can from IGA X-press plus Liquor, Pyrmont, opposite the entrance to our hotel. Pours clear deep golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, citrus, caramel, orange biscuit, flowers, light passion fruit notes. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, oily and slightly watery, average carbonation. Nice aroma and quite okay overall.

(Can) Pours clear pale amber with small white head. Little aroma, maybe hints of bread and lemon. Light bodied and somewhat fizzy. Taste is pretty awful. There’s a slightly metallic tartness throughout the palate. There’s some bread and biscuit notes in the mid palate. Not good.

375ml can into glass. Golden amber beer with a foamy white head. Light carbonation. Very faint nose, a bit sour, a bit malty. Light body, easy drinking style. Slightly fruity, touch of biscuity malt, a hint of bitterness at the end. Easy to drink, easy to forget.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Pours a hazy golden amber with a large foamy head. Some lacing. Light aroma of stonefruit with some background malt. Refreshing and effervescent with a solid bitter finish. Lingering bitter lemon aftertaste. Not bad, quite drinkable.

(Bottle) Clear golden amber with tiny short-lived very loos white head. Aroma has a mix of subtle notes of bread, seaweed and cardboard. Light body and fizzy like soda. Taste is mostly rather basic - some slightly ready malt with a bit of balancing tang - however there is some interesting and rather pleasant bitterness in the finish. Drinkable, refreshing, but not terribly interesting.

500ml bottle into tulip glass. Sour apple nose, smells like a dry cider. Golden amber beer with small white head. Medium carbonation. Good body with considerable zing in the mouth. Finish is cleansing with sour apple, sherbet and a little hop bitterness, there’s a touch of umami as well. It’s a nice beer for a sunny afternoon.
