Sampled in store at Appels en Peren. Pours a rose colored cider with a ring of bubbles. Sweet and tart apples enriched with grape sweetness. Too sweet for a nice drinking cider but still nice and delicate for a small glass accompanying dessert or something. Medium body and soft carbonation.

Bottle at L’Alcazar, the local bar inside the citadel of Montmédy. Clear amber juice with thin white head. Sweet apples, hints of the sweet and fruity characteristics of ginger, nutty and woody, tannins. Quite sweet and medium bitter. Medium body, lively carbonation, juicy and fresh with dry tannins in the finish.

Bottle shared at home. Vintage 2018. Pours very pale straw with no lasting bubbles. Instantly very dry on the tongue, with an acidic edge. Tannins, pear peels, almond nuttiness, green tea, some applesauce, quite watery at the core but intense dry mouthfeel. Light sweet, moderate bitter and sour. Medium body and light fizzy carbonation. Lovely sharp dry perry.
