Keg at Sugar Maple, 9/8/18. Black. Aroma of molasses, tobacco, smoke, caramel, vanilla. Taste is smoke, cherries, roast, chocolate, vanilla. Medium-full bodied, not too boozy.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Tosa, opened 8/4/18. Hazy red orange and the head has already faded. Aroma of toffee, caramel, lemon. Taste is vanilla. toffee, maple, tea, citrus, hints of oak and strawberry. Medium bodied, a bit hot but booze well integrated, seems young and brash and could stand some aging. Overall quite nice.

Bottle - I'm sorry, but this smells and tastes like someone mixed cough syrup in with a halfway decent Stout - the alcohol presence in the finish does not help with this association - at least it offends in this way far more in the nose than the flavor, but the overall experience is still tainted - if I'm going to tolerate this I should at least get a codeine high from it.

Can shared by Jeff, thanks! Pours a hazy light yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has grass and earthy grapes with a bit of straw and sweet grain underlying. Flavor has dank citrus and tropical fruits with onion, dry grape and a bit of sweet grains.

Grabbed a 4 pack in honor of the potential new style even though as far as morals go not my cup of tea but maybe I’m wrong about that since this ain’t too bad. Sudsy soda looking. Few not the slushy milkshake I expected. Nose is light strawberry little sugar. Tastes of strawberry, apricot, lime, lactose/yogurt. Not too sweet low bitterness. I’ve been eating a lot of strawberries recently as an aside.
