경기도 이천시의 중심에 위치한 **요골 마을**에는 사람의 손길이 오랫동안 닿지 않은 작은 동산이 있습니다. 몇 백살 먹은 나무들이 울창하게 드리운 숲 속의 오솔길은 지역민들의 산책로로 사용되었으며 숲 속에서 뛰놀며 자란 아이들은 누군가의 아버지, 할아버지가 되었습니다. 하지만 어느날부턴가 차츰 주변의 숲과 동산들은 높은 아파트로 변해갔으며 마지막에는 단 하나의 땅만이 남게 되었습니다. 그리고 더 이상 간직하고 있기조차 어려워진 이 땅은 300년 이상의 역사에 종지부를 찍고 주변과 같은 직육면체 형태의 건물로 변할 위기에 처했습니다.
이 숲에서 나고 자란 한 청년은 이 땅이 영원히 옛 모습을 간직하고 있기를 원하였고, 선조로부터 물려받은 이 소중한 땅을 보존할 수 있는 방법을 찾았고 긴 고민 끝에 이 땅에서 **크래프트 맥주**(Craft Beer)를 시작하기로 결심하였습니다.
**브루어리 을를**은 단순히 맥주를 만들기 위해 시작된 곳이 아닙니다. 크래프트 맥주라는 매개체를 통해 사람들에게 이 땅의 역사를 알리고, 그것을 통해 이 땅과 그 위에서 있었던 역사를 영원히 보존하고 기억하기 위해서 시작하였습니다. 그러기 위해 우리는 ‘수제 맥주’라는 단어의 의미가 희미해진 오늘날 진정한 의미의 ‘크래프트 맥주’를 세상에 선보이고자 합니다.

(Draft) Black with good tan head. Aroma of dark roast malt, coffee, vanilla. Amazing mouthfeel. Full bodied, soft, mousse-like carbonation. Great taste. Dark roast malt, chocolate, dark coffee, dark toffee sweetness and bitterness. Hints of soy. Chili well restrained, but giving nice warm notes, especially as the beer warmed up, along with subtle alcohol heat. Excellent beer.

19/10/2024. Draft at Hugus Beer Pub, Busan. Pours cloudy pale orange with a small frothy white head. Aroma is rich, tropical, dank, piney, grapefruit, orange, rubber. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium to full body, smooth, soft carbonation. Very well done neipa.

19/10/2024. Draft at Hugus Beer Pub, Busan. Pours clear pale golden with a small frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, yeasty, buttery, caramel, fruits, lightly perfumed and spiced, very slightly nutty. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Easy drinker.
