Bottle at the brewery, pours jet black with a medium brown head. Aroma is intense, with lots of roasted malt upfront and dry cocoa powder. Flavour is robust, with loads of roasted malt upfront, followed by a little espresso and some cocoa. Rich and full-bodied, with a roasty finish. Excellent.

Bottle at the brewery, pours a clear pale copper with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out notes of straw and light corn. Flavour is pretty clean, wth notes of straw and biscuity malt. Clean enough but not much going on.
