Waxed bottle poured, picked up at Metier Brewing. Bottled on 10/11/18. Likely the first of its style that has ever hit my cellar shelves, but that was the way it was intended, so this will be a first for me. Pours a copper, ruby color with plenty of foam head and lacing. Aroma is a bold caramel, oak, dark fruit, bran, and vanilla like combo. Surprisingly complex nose here. Flavor holds on to the copious amount of caramel notes start to finish. This finishes dry. It has a slight warming booze side to it, but I was really hoping it would. This is an imperial IPA that wears a dense disguise. Bold and bitter, but the barrel like notes shine the brightest here. Toasty, soft bourbon linger. It's big, but its not harsh in any way. A really unique, and excellent ale here.

Draft pour pint at the 192 Lake Trail Taproom. Something about the New Zealand hops make the brew jump up my priority to order list. Love them. Also fun to find a beer from these guys out in the wild. Tasty and refreshing, lighter IPA, but not lacking any flavor. Some moderate bitter grapefruit flavor, matching aroma. Zesty, with a lingering citrus bitterness. Nice, sessionable brew here.

Sampled from the tap at the Edmonds Oktoberfest. Pours a clear amber brown with an off white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grain and a touch of wheat with bread backing. Flavor has deep wheat with bread and a touch of darkness underlying.

Draft pour pint at Des Voigne. Wine and beer under the same roof is totally rad, until they host a wine theme fundraiser with a hundred or more wineos, and I'm the nerd in the corner with a beer on my hand. What they don't know, is I'm the biggest nerd here, ordering the Kolsch, based on a new rate and nothing more. Clean golden, light orange pour. Patchy, lasting foam head. Straw like grains. Cool and clean flavor. Not bad. When I'm in a room consisting of 98% middle aged women drinking wine, I get a lot of strange looks. Beer was not bad.

Draft pour pint at Des Voigne. Very cola like, near black pour. Soft toasty malt aroma, good aromatic coconut. Just the slightest metallic note. Flavor is much lighter coconut than expected, but the aroma really shows it. Toasty chocolate flavors. Lingering soft roast. Flavorful and enjoyable porter here.

On tap at B-Side, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out roasted malt upfront, followed by cocoa, and light hoppng. Flavour is medium-bodied, with roast, bready malt, and light cocoa. Bitter but not too much. Mediocre.

On tap at B-Side, pours a clear copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and light piney hops. Flavour brings out a decent mix of bready malt and light hop resins. Subdued but decently made. Decent.
