On tap at AZW - DTPHX, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has lots of tart apple skins, gentle peach and a touch of hay. Flavour has a nice blend of lightly tart apple core, sweet peaches, and a hint of hay. A bit too sweet but there's enough tartness to balance. Just a touch of hay/farmhouse funk helps things. Pleasant.

On tap at The Theodore, pours a clear pale yellowish blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals bright, lightly tart crabapples, a hint of caramel, and some tequila barrel presence. Flavour is bright and juicy, with lots of medium sweet apples, a hint of tartness, and a tiny hint of tequila. I wish this were drier and with more barrel presence. Good, but doesn't quite deliver what I hoped.

Bottle from David of Barleywine town, aka Fishbowl Dave. Cork & cage. Mojito glass @home. Smokey cork. Sort of a difficult thing to catch on camera, but it's cool. Barely hazy, whitewash head, slow to settle. Warming, boozy leather, butter, mulled, sharp apple nose. Taste is bittersweet, edging tart, with lots of hairy nuances. The booze is honey-ish, low volatile wood & with a fair amount of vanilla. So it comes off more like rum in my isolated little world. Very punchy acid, tannic peel, slightly numbing core(or just popsicle), subtly sour, very faint varnish, cherry pith finish. I wonder where the apples are from. West/mid coast apples are so hot & cold stressed, the resulting flavors are unique & unexpected. Just need more brands to take a chance. Great.

Bottle from BarleyWineSanta. Mojito glass @home. Thought way too long on making a new listing for this one. Emailed the cidery & all that jazz. Just drink. Frothy, slow to settle pour. Filtered, clear, 10k gold. Smells of tart, acidic, slightly macerated & browned, bittersweet, clean, apples. Taste is sharp with a slight Granny Smith tropical tartness. Less astringent that a typical Pippin, it's still bitter-green, lemonaid-y, juicy, with itchy skin. Some white grape, a bit thin, sulfites. Just less harsh overall. Lingering acid is lemony & parching. Naked Pippins need some friends. Okay to good.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a tiny white head. Nose is full of bourbon, oak, gentle apple acidity, and a touch of vanilla. Flavour is quite complex, with a nice mix of bourbon, vanilla, oak, and low-moderate acidity apples. The bourbon and vanilla goes well with the apples. This works well. Very good.

On tap at Arizona Wilderness DTPHX, pours a clear bright darkish red with a small white head. Aroma brings out lightly tart berries, some vinous notes and red apple skins, as well as a touch of funk. Flavour is full of red berries, tart vinous notes and red apple skins. There's some tannins in there that elevate this, with just a bit of residual sweetness. Very nice grape / apple cider / wine hybrid. Very good.

On tap at Arizona Wilderness DTPHX, pours a clear bright pink — that's glowing — with a small white head. Nose brings out crisp apple skins, prickly pear and light vinous character. Flavour is juicy and yet on the dry side, with lots of dry apple juice, prickly pear, and gentle vinous character. Complex and surprisingly elegant. Excellent.
