Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound Oktoberfest. Clean and clear golden orange pour. Quick fading head. Really crisp and easy drinking lager. Flavorful caramel and spicy malts. Bready finish. Well rounded, and keeps the glass tipped upward. Very nice.

Pale blond colour. Light smell of malt, honey, dough. A bit better with the flavour: nice bready malt base, and robust bitterness, with grassy and peppery hop accents.

Dark colour, some light goes through, just because of the slim glass. The Stange doesn't help the aroma, just faint caramel. Medium body, there's some residual sweetness; flavour of malt an burnt honey, the latter being just a bit too prominent for me; correct bitterness (i.e. not underhopped like many other Doppelbocks), but there is also a mild vegetable note that shouldn't be there; slightly earthy. In the end, I was starting to appreciate it.

Dull pale amber, just a thin head. Sweet, sticky, simple with a bit of bubblegum. Lacks body. I mean I want to like this but Structures Julbock crushes it and same day comparable doesn't work out for Larrabee. This is weak and doesn'�t come together.

On tap at Larrabee, pours a clear dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, bready malt and a hint of caramel. Flavour brings out dry toasted malt, bready notes and toasted nuts. Dry and clean, correctly brewed, but a touch flat. Decent.

On tap at Larrabee, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grassy and herbaceous notes, straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is much the same, with grassy, herbaceous notes, straw and biscuity malt. Fresh and clean, with nice German hopping. Good.

On tap at Larrabee, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Nose is full yogurt, with nothing but lacto — not getting the salt or anything. Flavour is likewise a full lacto bomb, with light salt and massive yogurty notes. Nah, this is too yogurty. Needs work.
