On tap at Theodore, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out what I assume is the tequila - it sure smells like a mezcal or tequila - with soft apple skins in back. Flavour is quite complex and cohesive, bringing out a remarkably nice tequila-like character, with some grassiness, and lightly sweet apple skins. Really nice expression of the sotol - what a nice combo of the tequila and apples, with just enough residual sweetness. Excellent.

From a 375ml can on 18/9/2024. Pours a dirty, hazy medium golden with a smallish head. The nose features apricot and some sharp citrus. The flavour also features apricot and bitter blood orange and grapefruit. Finishes distinctly bitter, lingering in the mouth in a manner more reminiscent of a WC IPA. Silky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Unusual, interesting and pretty full on. Good stuff.

Schooner on tap at Dickson Taphouse, ACT. Cloudy amber beer with a gorgeous creamy white head. Fruit nose. Good body, smooth texture. Some lacing. Finish is subdued bitter lemon. Very nice IPA.

From a 375ml can on 19/5/2024. Pours a clear very deep amber with a smallish head. Smells reasonably malty with lots of caramel and some dark and dried fruits presenting. Tastes of caramel and toffee, and raisins. Finishes firmly bitter (the 30 IBU seems light on) with a hint of sour. Has a slick mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Very solid.

From a 375ml can on 15/5/2024. Pours a very deep brown with a small head. Has a good smoky aroma with lots of campfire ash. The flavour features smoky meats with a touch of caramel in the background. Finishes moderately bitter, roasty and quite dry. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A very solid little smoky.

From a 375ml can on 26/10/2023. Pours a very deep brown with a small tan head that disappears quickly. Has a quite strong chocloate mudcake nose. Not surprisingly, the taste follows suit delivering rich choc mudcake with good dash of hazelnut. Finishes with a decent, sharp, lightly roasty bitterness that gives it nice balance. The mouthfeel is a touch syrupy, the carbonation moderate. Really nice.

(Can) Pours hazy golden with small white head. Nice aroma - tangy fruit, pine, wet grass cuttings. Smooth medium body with good fine bright carbonation - great mouthfeel. Great taste too. There’s plenty hops giving nice tangy fruit start evolving quickly to a fairly bitter hoppy finish. This is nicely balanced biscuity malt sweetness. Very enjoyable.

(Can) A cool looking beer. It pours cloudy purple with small pale lavender head. Pleasant but hard to pin down aroma - there’s some creamy notes, some tangy berries, hints of bubblegum or candy. Medium body with plenty of soft carbonation. Taste is sour, offset somewhat by some creamy notes. Hints of berries. Overall, for my taste, this is a little off balance with the acidity dominating.

(Can) Pours slightly hazy mid brown with ruby highlights and a tiny tan head. Lovely aroma primarily of pine and citrus. Full bodied with slightly syrupy feel and fine carbonation. Good taste with balance between plenty of hops and dark toffee sweetness. Orange and pine at the start gives way to dank earthy herbs and then to hoppy bitterness. Underlying this is some dark toffee sweetness. The alcohol is not noticeable under this flavour assault on the tastebuds. Unusual, a bit intense for me.

(Can) Pours hazy amber with small white head. Lovely aroma. Very fruity. Stone fruit, pineapple. And plenty of pine. Medium body with lots of soft carbonation giving excellent mouthfeel. Good tasting beer. Start is like the aroma with nice fruitiness. There’s some good but restrained hoppy bitterness in the finish. Very good.
