Toasty, firm, with a hint of mint. Strong at 7%, and shows it a bit. Big winter warmer of a "London" porter.

Brewers never admit it, but I think this and their lager have been dumbed down over the years. At first, this was a fine, hoppy American Brown, kind of like what Pete's Wicked used to be. Now it's not as hoppy, and the malt is lacking that hint of smoke I used to enjoy. It's ok, but a simplistic beer and not as good as when these guys first came out and people were actually excited about them.
