Pour is a red with a small white head. Aroma is caramel malt but not a sugar bomb. Flavor is a little caramel malt, a little toasted grain with a little cherry on the back end. Comparable to a Smithwick's.

Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is a floral ester with some dry pils malt. Flavor is super floral and heavy on the chamomile. I like chamomile but others may find it a bit too much. Finish is clean and leaves some of the fruit esters on the tongue.

On tap at Grafton Winery. The manager explained that it was a guest tap from Old Herald. Nice black color in plastic pint cup. Still a thin ring of tan foam. Definite nose of espresso, though they're unclear about whether there's actual coffee or it's just the roast. Taste is definitely on the porter side. Along with the light coffee, I get a suggestion of honey. Giving out some high marks for taste because everything just fits together so well. Malt roast just tickles the sides of my tongue. Probably not a wise choice when it's still 96F out, but after the blonde ale I had to sample the other end of the spectrum.
