Mild würziger Antrunk, harzige Noten, helles Malz. Aromatisch-süffig bleibend, mild herb, insgesamt wie man es von einem Festbier erwartet. Zum Ende würziger, die Süße bleibt auf geringem Level. Angenehm! 9/8/10/9/8/9

(bottle) Hazy, dark amber to brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Slightly toasted malty aroma with notes of caramel, a tinge of vanilla, as well as subtle fruity notes and a whiff of hoppy spice. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Toasty malty base with notes of caramel, bready accents and slightly herbal spice; sweet-bitter, moderately toasty and caramelly finish with a tinge of drying and spicy hops. Not bad. 02.XI.15

(bottle, 33cl) Slightly hazy, greenish golden colour with a blond and medium-sized foamy head. Herbal and resiny hoppy aroma with notes of spruce and a mildly malty background. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Initially a tad slim pale malty taste with slightly grainy notes, dry character with present herbal and resiny hops, lingering into the mildly bitter finish with a light but balanced level of sweet malt. Good. 22.X.15

750ml bottle [#629/750]. Clear, maroon colour with ruby red glimmer and small, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige head. Bourbon BA aroma, notes of oak, vanilla, fresh wood, fresh leather, cautious hints of caramel malt. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, some toffee, hints of vanilla, slightly tart counterweight with hints of green wood, fresh oak, dark berries; accumulated vanilla in the finish, a touch of liquorice. Not bad - but done again the question arises: didn’t I line up to rate beer, not whisky?

Many thanks to koelschtrinker for sharing! Pours hazy orange brown with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, vanilla, some chocolate, wood. Taste is heavy malty, roasted malt, chocolate, tons of vanilla, oak, some alcohol, good!

Runder, sehr weicher Antrunk von malzigen Holznoten, Eiche, milde Süße. Runde, wenig alkoholische Würzigkeit, steigende Intensität. Dennoch süffig, Nuancen von Schokolade und kandierten Früchten. Super! 10/12/12/12/13/12

Bottled (thanks mctapps!). Hazy yellow colour, medium white head. Aroma is grassy, earthy and mild herbal notes. Flavour is very similar in a good balance. Nothing special though.
