Taster at Liquor Express. Pours a clear, golden color, with a small, foamy, off-white head. The nose is rye, toast, caraway, orange peel, and pine. Sweet and malty, with a big, resinous bitterness. Light to medium body, sticky, and hard. Pretty aggressive, but not bad.

Taster at the Huntsville Brass Tap. Pours a clear, straw color, with a big, frothy, white head. The aroma is lemon verbena, wet grass, vanilla, and whole grain crackers. Sweet and malty, with a crisp bitterness. Light and bright. Solid.

Taster at Das Stahl Bierhaus. Pours black, with a small, dense, tan head. The nose is smooth coffee, cloves, maple, and rye toast. Sweet and very malty, with a subtle bitterness. Medium to heavy body, chalky, and clean. Solid, enjoyable stout.
