So I walk in the front door and there's a cooler filled with sixpacks, the brewery hidden in the back and the guy's living room off to the left. I ask what kind of beer he's got, and at least he's honest about it being mainstream lager, unlike many local "microbreweries". It's pale yellow with large bubbles but no head - there's a reason for this which I'll get to in a moment - the aroma of a mix of corn on the cob, herbaceous hops and fusels (I don't think this is high-gravity brewed, so that's a bit odd, really). Light, quick palate, heavy on the corn and cider notes. It's available in cans, which is crazy for such a small brewery. But DO NOT lay them on their side, because they leak (guess who's getting the half-empty can to taste, Paul?)
