lovely hoppy mouth, the manuka jumps up and hits the back of the throat, but never over powering. Not sweet. Well made. Lingering manuka finish with very low bitterness. Highly enjoyable beer.

pitch black color, nice roasty character in the nose. Mouth is roasty and slightly acidic, but didn’t find the beer perfectly balanced. Decent hop bitterness. Overall not bad, but didn’t blow me away.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of honey, flowers, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, honey, flowers, and caramel, leading to a dry spicy finish. The body is light.

Pours a very transparent amber with a small head.Nose shows peachy and spicy hops with a fair bit of sweet malt (slightly grainy) and honey.Flavours are very similar, but with more grainy malt and a slightly herbal flavour that I also remember from their Captain Cooker beer (that at the time I thought was the manuka). Very light bitterness.Light body with carbonation that really could be higher.

Clear coppery amber pour with a small quickly fading head.Crazy aroma of ginger, sarsaparilla, tea, cinnamon and sweet malt. Very interesting. Further woody and medicinal hints. Ginger is over the top.More ginger upon tasting, as well as that tea and medicinal taste. Some sweet clean malt and mild bitterness.Too much carbonation!

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Very peppery aroma. Rather light in body completely dominated by the spicy and HOT chili that completely numbs your palate. Oh dear - why? 310108

(Bottle 33 cl) Danish beer bottle. Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of yeast, sherry and alcohol. Very full-bodied, a little low in carbonation with extremely complex fruit notes with plenty of Belgian esters and a little yeastiness. Very subdued bitterness. Somehow it appears as if they cannot really do anything wrong at The Mussel Inn. 310108
