Description
Currahee Brewing Company has been in operation since early 2016, with 2 locations—one in Franklin NC and the other in Alpharetta GA—and a third upcoming location in Clayton, GA. Our main production facility is in Franklin NC, which is located right off Main Street sitting on the Little Tennessee River. Our brewery in Franklin includes a taproom, a bier garden over looking the river, a kayak put-in and take out, outdoor music stage and a food truck. Our Alpharetta location is located right across from the city center on Main Street. We generally make all of our test batches and one offs at this location, with the brewery being located right behind the bar. We have a patio seating out back and outdoor seating up front. If you are hungry, we have counter service with our BBQ restaurant—Smokejack—next door, so you never have to leave the taproom to enjoy some delicious BBQ.

Can. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Tropical fruit, peach, funk. Strange.

Deep red brown color. Slight toasted malt and wood aroma. Flavor is a mild for a brown ale, good balance of light malt sweetness, toasted taste, wood and mild, earthy hop buttering. Smooth and easy to drink.

12 oz. can (the can says it was brewed at Alpharetta). Pours a hazy, bright yellow color, with a huge, frothy, white head. The nose is pine, orange peel, white sugar, leather, and peach. Fairly dry, with a sharp bitterness. Light and crisp, with a dusty, sticky palate. Fun and refreshing, with a nice, light funk that makes it unique.

Banana and bubblegum aroma. Taste is sweet and banana like a Hefeweizen then finishes with a spicy crispness. Like a more balanced tripel.

Pour is a hazy golden with a large white head. Aroma is like juicy fruit bubblegum. Flavor is lots of floral yeast esters with more of the sweet bubblegum. Finish is bitter and a little hot from the alcohol. This was kind of odd but in a good way. Sweet and fruity with Belgian yeasty notes.

Pour is a clear yellow with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is quite hoppy with some lactic tartness. Flavor is pretty darn tart with some lemon notes and the hops are floating in the back round somewhere. A bit too tart to let the hops come through on the flavor but this is still the hoppiest beer of this style that I have had.
