Bottle shared by CLW--thanks, Chris! Opaque dark brown, ring of head, light viscosity and trace lacing. Aroma is slightly rubbery toffee, lightly spicy, peppery coffee. Taste is strong earthy roasted malt, peppery, spicy coffee. Frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste.

1 pint 9 oz bottle from the brewery, 1/12/24. Pours a dark brown-black color with a small brown head that dissipates quickly down to nothing. The aroma is dark chocolate, light roasted coffee, and earth, caramel, and light pepper. Drinks smooth and very creamy. Flavorful and drinkable. Sweet, but not overly sweet. Both the pepper and the alcohol heat are fairly muted (more so than I would have expected). This is quite good.

Draft at Readington, 10/9/23. Served in a ridiculous chalice, which definitely adds to the experience somehow. Hazy orange, Belgian yeast, spice, grains. Orange and wheat. Clean and refreshing.
