500ml bottle. Jet black colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, dark malty and slightly fruity hoppy aroma, notes of dark chocolate, a touch of espresso, fruity hints of plum, red apple, a touch of treacle. Taste is moderately bitter, roasty dark malty and slightly fruity hoppy, subtle sweetness, notes of dark chocolate, hints of treacle, a touch of espresso, fruity hints of plum and red apple; oily to viscous texture, smooth and soft palate. RIS on the entry abv level, accordingly not overly rich, rather easy drinkable in return.

Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy and fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffly dark malts, bitterish licorice. Some mild dark malt cream brings some balance. Finishes smooth and silky with more bitter licorice. Could be sweeter.

Bottled 330ml (web, BB 12/2017)
Golden-amber colour, medium-sized white head. Fruity but harsh aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Some fruits, bready, even a bit grainy. Average pale ale in the last part of its shelf life = nothing special.
