32oz growler, filled at the brewpub, pours with a dark brown body that supports a nice tan head of foam. The first quick pull on the aroma is full of inviting chocolate malts. A more involved inspection reveals dark roasted malts, a mineral note, a bit of burnt malts and faint dark fruity esters to go along with the chocolate. The taste delivers a pleasing level of dark roasted malts and burnt maltiness riding straight into a pool of chocolate malts. Toward the finish mild caramel malts and faint sweet dark fruity esters join in to help close out the experience. Nice robust porter with plenty of malt roastiness going on.

64oz growler pour, filled at the brewpub, exhibits a clear amber ruby red colored body that supports a full tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet crystal malts, spicy mineral hops, modest pine hops, thin fruity esters and then a sense of citrus at the end of the draw. The taste delivers mild pine hops, faint pepper, a dash of citrus and then modest crystal malt dark fruity ester like notes. To midway it dries out a tad with earthy almost black tea hops and then spicy Cascade hoppiness to go along with a sense of rye twangy maltiness. Pretty nice easy drinking brew that goes a little too light on the hops for my taste.
