Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up some inviting plum, date and caramel notes, nice. The taste delivers a pleasing smooth caramel and prune to date sweet fruity esters. It picks up a mild malt roastiness into the finish. Really nice Wee Heavy. I only wish the 'smoke' note that is mentioned was noticeable.

Poured up on tap at the brewery where it exhibits a clear gold copper body that supports a thin light tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up candy fruity esters and little else. The taste delivers a nice load of pine and grapefruit hop bitterness that's tempered by an annoying sweet fruity ester sensation. It does get a tad soapy into the finish; so there's that. Meh.
