Pours hazy straw/amber with a zero head.Hefty ginger on the nose, plenty of spice. Little else. Smells very sweet.Just as sweet tasting, a fair bit of ginger with some burn. It is what it is, I guess, pretty one-dimensional but pretty enjoyable.Could use a richer body.

The aroma is overwhelmingly of grain and banana, with a little honey and butter. In the mouth, there’s a very mild hop bitterness, a tiny bit of malt late and that’s about it. Not a complex beer by any means but would be OK by the dozen on a warm summer’s night if not for the $4 price tag - I reckon I got charged $1.50 for the paper bag.

From a 330ml bottle on 8/3/2012. Pours a clear golden yellow with no head. Has a very slight grainy aroma with a bit of bready malt. In the mouth, it’s very sweet, with more bready malt and a hint of banana. There’s just the barest evidence of hops. Okay for a pale lager but distinctly unexciting. Like the artwork on the bottle though.

Pours gold with a rapidly fading head.Nose shows bready malt and faint spicy hops. A bit plain.More bready malt as a flavour, also a grainy character. Finishes with a mild, off-putting bitterness.Carbonation is pretty full-on, body feels watery.
