Bottle at Kolding Ølmesse. A clear, golden to copper beer with a beige head. Slightly sourish nose with caramel and a little fruityness. Quite sweet flavor, caramel and fruityness and the same sourish touch found in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel. The sourness goes all the way into the finish, and makes me wonder if it was infected. Drinkable though. (080229)

Bottle. Deep brown body with a reddish hue. Clear, at least if one leaves the sediments in the bottle. Burnt, coffee-ish aroma with a weak hoppy note in the background. There’s also some breadcrusts and some toffee. Coffee-ish, slightly toffeeish, borderline butterscotch, flavor, quite burnt and with some fruityness. Dried fruits as well as some sugar in the far back. Medium body. Coffee-ish, burnt finish, yet quite sweet. I find this beer a bit sweet, but it’s rather drinkable and quite pleasant. Rating: 6-4-6-3-12-3.1.(071017)

On tap at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It serves a dark, dark brown body, looking clear, with a small off-white to beige head. Roasted nose with coffee and some licorice hints. Sweetish flavor, yet dry in the mouth, with coffee, roasted malts and that same licorice-like touch found in the aroma. Full body. Quite nice, but maybe I’m a bit heavy on the score. (090517)
