Bottle. (RBNAG 07) It pours a golden body with lots of floaties if not poured gentle. Minimal, off-white head. Quite hoppy nose, with malt in the background. Boring in a way, but still nice. Malty flavor with a pleasant hoppynes and bitterness. Medium body. A pleasant beer, far from an exceptional IPA, but sure drinkable, a beer for the masses. Rating: 6-3-6-3-12-3.

Bottle. Clear, golden-orange beer with lots of sediments in the bottle, easily disturbing the transparancy if not careful when pouring. Nice, but diminishing off-white to beige head leaving lacings. Citrusy and piney hop in the aroma with a nice maltyness in the background, but I prefer the hops in Bøgebryg, which are more pronounced. The flavor has a nice, piney hoppyness, but not as much as I wish. There’s also a sweet maltyness in the flavor. Medium body. Long, a bit weak finish. A quite nice beer, quaffable indeed, but a bit boring. (071017)

Bottle. Pours a clear, deep amber with lots of sediments if not poured carefully. Nice beige head, diminishing rather quickly, but leaving some lacings. Quity hoppy nose with a wood-like note on a malty background. Quite malty flavor, with a hoppy bitterness playing second violin. Surprisingly watery mouthfeel, and a long, citrusy and piney finish with a quite nice bitterness. A rather good beer, refreshing, but far from world class. Could easily down a few of these. (071017)

Bottle. Nice head with ok duraition. Color is dark amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, hops and some flowers.

50 cL bottle, bottle 1724. Pours hazy reddish with a dense light brown head and lots of yeast floating around. Aroma is fruity, caramel malt and a whiff of pinewood needles. Flavour starts sweet and gives a nice caramel flavour with a mild set of spices on top. Small note of annis seed before the finish. Ends mild spiced and lingering sweet with a subdued bitterness. Nice. And a nice surprise, I got hold of their first batch on growler back in 2005 - that was bad - burned plastic and everything.

(in 2007) 4,2,4,2,8 if this was one of the cheap mass produced christmas brews, i’d give it higher ratings, but it is sold as a microbrew, so i expect some taste for my money. The beer appears a bit flat, and whatever extra taste there is, seems to be a bit weird, and off balance. The brewery should get an extra point for originality, as they usually put stuff in their beers that they find in the local forest. This one had some pine needles added when being brewed. (not to be found in the bottle though). - (2012, abv 6.0% 50cl btl.) clear brown, small wihte head. sweet aroma, like a mix of browncakes and pancakes - quite sweet. corn?. malts. sugar. 5 Flavor is malty, herbal bitter note from the pine needles, christmas spices, not as sweet as the aroma, but there is still a strange sweet note to the beer, i can’t pinpoint it, resembles maple syrup perhaps, or even honey - but more bitter than honey. Taste is okay, tilted towards the herbal bitter side, balanced with this strange sweet note. 6, 3, 12 My rate has been updated with the new score

(Bottle, thanks to larsniclas and rlgk!) Shady amber color, big white head. Sweet and fruity scent with an acidic touch. Sweet and hoppy taste. Bitter aftertaste. Medium mouthfeel and bitterness.

Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. ABV was 7.0%. Dark brown colour. Sweetish malty and lactic aroma and flavour, mild roasty notes.

Reddish colour with light brown head.Aroma of spices and sweet berries raspberrys a littel sour but nice Christmas beer.

Medium offwhite head. Hazy dark brown mahogany body. Deep cinnamon roasty caramel malt aroma with dusty cocoa notes. A bit papery. Dry dusty cocoa and cardboard taste with roasty malty notes. Light fruity as well. Very nice. (0.5l bottle from SuperBrugsen near Ordrup, rated at RBNAG’07.)
