From tap at Botão brewpub, Carvoeira. Malt-forward aroma with caramel, some piney hop and a hint of grapefruit. Some toasty malts. Hops show up more in the bitterness than the aroma. Medium body. Drinks more like an English Bitter than an APA.

From tap at Botão brewpub, Carvoeira. Woody (oak chips?) with caramel malt. Subtle spicy notes from the wood, picking up a little dried fruit as well. Moderate bittersweet. Medium body. Quite drinkable and I love the woody aspect, a little gem hidden away in an otherwise forgettable drive-through town.

From tap at Botão brewpub, Carvoeira. Aroma is ripe banana, spicy yeast, wheat, hint of citrus. Moderate to medium sweet, light bitter. Medium bitter. Fine Weizen, true to style.
