Taster at the brewery. Pours a dark brown, with a small, tan head. The aroma is mild coffee, walnut, earth, and light rubber. Sweet and malty, with a mellow bitterness. Light to medium body, chalky, and slick. Pretty fair, but a bit flawed.

Taster at the brewery. Pours a clear-ish, bright, gold color, with a small, off-white head. The aroma is strong pear, lavender, apricot, and cane sugar. Sweet and syrupy. No bitterness. Light body, slick, and a bit grainy. Nice, if a little cloying.
