Pint at the taproom. Pours an opaque, yellow color, with a small, white head. The nose is lemon peel, gentian root, strong rose, juniper, and hay. Dry and aggressively bitter. Light to medium body, crisp, and biting. Sharp, fun and assertive.

On tap at the T-Gap taproom. Pours black, with a small, fleeting, beige head. The nose is chicory, pecans, anise, burnt toast, and light fig. Sweet and syrupy, with a big, sticky bitterness. Heavy, dank, and grainy. Interesting, if a little abrasive.

10 oz. at the T-Gap taproom. Pours a clear, dark, brown color, with a medium, tan head. The nose is apple brandy, caramel, spruce, mahogany, and a metallic finish. Sweet and malty, with a touch of bitterness. Light booze. Heavy, grainy, and rye whiskey.

10 oz. pour at the T-Gap taproom. Pours a murky, brown color, with a small, fleeting head. The nose is vanilla, cloves, caramel, apple, milk chocolate, and pepper. Sweet and malty, with a light boozy kick. Medium to heavy body, with a sharp palate. Interesting and fun.

Half-pint at the brewery. Pours a clear, bright, dark color, with a big, frothy, off-white head. The nose is caramel, pumpkin puree, spruce, cardamom, and wheat bread. Sweet and malty, with a mellow bitterness. Smooth, savory, and malty.

Pint at the T-Gap taproom. Pours black, with a small, beige head. The nose is maple syrup, espresso, chalk, black pepper, and caramel. Sweet and roasty, with a light, pleasant bitterness. Light to medium body, with a crisp, lively palate. This is a light and easy, yet flavorful, stout. Quality!

Pint at the T-Gap taproom. Pours black, with a small, frothy, beige head. The aroma is chicory, cherry bark, surprisingly strong vanilla, rye, and cough syrup. Sweet and malty, with an unpleasant, acrid, bitter finish. Light to medium body, with a syrupy, grainy palate. This is an assertive and interesting porter, but a little off.
