22oz bottle pours out crisp golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice light grain some grass. Taste is more of the nice sweet grain light notes of grass and some spice.

Bomber. Quite a surprise. This brewery is pretty near me, but I’d never heard of them. Pours a dark brown color with small beige head. A nice toasted malt nose, chocolate. Robust sweet malty base, chocolates, some lactose. Very rich, light coal and smoke. Very solid porter. In fact, this is awesome. I’ve gotta look at these guys some more.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice, single centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of ridiculously strong and pungent wine, alcohol, chocolate, earth, roasted malt, raisins and way more alcohol - seemingly a ton with only 6,2% abv! Medium-bodied; Strong chocolate flavour with a lot of milk and cream, some subdued earthy notes and a lot of wine and port flavours coupled with some raisin and grape sweetess as well. Aftertaste shows a very nice complexity with an earthy flavour, some chewy malt, a pleasant and long-lasting sweetness and the wine barrel aging that you can taste a mile away. Overall a very strong and well-layered beer with (what is listed) only 6,2% abv, but feels way higher in the taste - given that I had to enter this beer, which I couldn’t believe, I’m happy to have gotten my hands on this, because it was so good! Definitely worth searching out for, even in this land of amazing beers. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Belmont Station in Portland, Oregon on 25-April-2013 for US$11,43 sampled at home in Washington on 29-September-2014.
