Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, leicht schokoladig, Karamell, würzig.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, fine turbid, nice head. Starts mild, but not washy, fine malty-yeasty. Fine wheaty, hints of butter cookies. Well balanced finish with mild sweet notes. Not bad!

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, modest wheaty. Sweet, but not too intense. Light grasy notes in the finish. Quite drinkable. Not bad!

(draught at the brewpub) Hazy, golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Herbal hoppy and strawy malty aroma with traces of caramel in the background. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with an almost creamy carbonation. Delicately bready (cara-)malt character with herbal hops and a tinge of iodinic and salty flavours; mildly bitter and dry herbal hoppy finish, again with hints of iodine in the aftertaste. Weicher, nussig malziger Beginn. Dann trockene Holznoten, spürbar hopfenbitter. Dunkel, etwas karamellig. Zum Ende sticht erneut die Hopfenbitterkeit hervor, die Malzigkeit ist vergleichsweise gering. 8/9/10/9/7/9

Bottle @ Bierzwerg.de.BB 05/12. Pours cloudy ruby amber with a small white head. Sweet and nutty nose with a scent of oxidation. Flavor is cellar, dark fruit and caramel. A little over the top.. already.
