Description

Golden color with thick white head. Aroma of diacetyl, floral notes, hops. Taste, again diacetyl, papery, caramel, moderate hops. Definetely not new world hops, as Gurthnar wrote. easy drinkable, bit unbalanced, but still enjoyable.

Bottle via Draft Craft. Good old classic chocolate stout. Rather full body, med-high carbonation, fully malty, chocolate, slightly toffeeish. Relatively easy drinking considering what it is. Clean, quite good.

Bottle from draft craft. Slightly metallic, but otherwise pretty classic polotmavy. Rather too much caramelly burnt flavour for my liking, even crossing into the astringent territory. Balanced in terms of sweetness-bitterness, but the latter is mostly burnt and not hoppy, the former could use decrease in intensity. Feels rough around the edges, slightly hard to drink.

Bottle from Draft Craft. A touch of diacetyl in this one, but nothing tragic. Other that that, it is hops centered, with moderate body but malt in the background, med-high carbonation and med-high bitterness. The hops character is not the New World citrusy craziness, but not entirely classic hops either. I would guess novelty Czech varieties, some noble grassy and herbal character in there, I also get light mint, with a bit of fruits, but more of the subtle varieties, maybe some red fruits. Easy drinking, mostly clean, pretty good.

Bottle from Draft Craft and Bottles Not really smashing IPA, but still an okay one. Malty, medium to high bitterness, quite hoppy but not a superstar

Tap at BrewStock 2020, day 2. Pitch black body, creamy tan head, looks beautiful. Chocolate and citric-herbal aromatic notes mixing fine enough in the aroma. Both the chocolate-malty and citric-herbal hoppy notes persist in the taste, a bit lean, ending with a medium to light bitterness and some roasty notes. Honestly, their best ale so far and an excellent black IPA!
