Light, sort of watery dunkel. A poor representation of the style. Lacked much taste and much oomph.

(Draught at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague, 27 July 2012) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange peel, toasty malt and fresh floral hops. Fruity nose with citrus peel, dried apricots, toast and fresh floral hops in a finish with a rather gentle bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Nice one.

On tap at Pivovarský Klub: Golden, almost clear, slowly collapsing firm off-white head, delicate traces of "american" hops in the grainy to malty nose; dryish bitter-sweet colour, relatively light bodied; band-aid in the short and dry finish. Not very good, there are better samples of this style in the Czech Republic…

Bottle @ Rozmanitost, Prague. Pours amber with a small white head. Dust, grain, corn and caramel. Acidic fruit and paper. Medium bodied. A great disappointment.

Tap @ Pivovarsky Klub. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, grassy hops, light sourness. Flavor is malt, grass, soapy. Medium body, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Not very pleasant due to the offnote of soap. 040812

Copper with a small white head. Malty aroma of toffee, with a little raw grain and unfermented wort. Sweet caramel, molasses and dark sugar flavour.

Thick-set, medium/fluffy yellowish head, fed by lively, big-bubbled copperish-golden beer. Smells like boiling (hopped) worts. Bit toasted cookies, maltcookies, Scottish shortbread. Herbal-hoppy, light bitterish, aromatic hopflavour upon lightly toasted malts and faintly acidic carbonation. Excellent balance, great fresh taste. Light to medium bodied, light grist-, but also yeastslick. Very carbonated. Definitely amongst the best Bohemians ever tried. Many thanks for this one, Honza!

Hazy brown body with an off-white fizzy/creamy head that diminishes fastly. Aroma of fine malts and smoke. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour. Distinct hoppy bitterness. Well balanced.
