I love it that Zeppelin took a shot at what's probably my favorite style. :) Tap at Svijet Piva. Murky peachy-reddish body. Spicy aroma, herbal, cloves, soft esters. Creamy, lovely full wheat malt body, mild vanilla, light clove, slightly rubbery and with a vague tart touch to keep things drinkable. Excellent rendition, a tweak perhaps away from a classic status. Hats off, Žedni!

Pours almost perfectly clear golden, topped with large and nonlasting foamy white head. Grassy nose with a bit of fruitiness. Taste similar, gentle grassy bitter, some malty sweetness. Light body, a bit watery. Gentle and short aftertaste. Simple thirst quencher. Gets the job done, that's it.

Bottle, 0.33l. Deep ruby pour, almost black. One finger frothy beige head. Low retention, minimal lacing. Nose is slightly grainy, mild roastiness and a touch of cappuccino. Medium body, medium carbonation. Soft texture. Roasty bittersweet taste. Lacking in aroma a bit - subdued and watery. It feels more like dark lager rather then porter. Very mild aroma of grains and roasted malts. Slight caramel and cappuccino notes. Peppery. Finishes bitter and dry. Overall, mediocre. Not a bad beer, but it kinda fails as a porter. Expected a bit more out of this one.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear amber pour, no head. Slight thin layer leaving some lacing. Grassy, herbal nose, touch of caramel. Mostly thin body, medium at best. Medium carbonation. Texture has some thickness to it, quite smooth. Mildly bittersweet taste, balanced and refreshing. Aroma like the nose, grassy and herbal, touch of caramel and spices. Some peppery notes, a bit grainy. Hops in the background round things up quite nicely. Medium lasting finish, mildly bitter, peppery and a bit dry. Overall, refreshing and quite drinkable. Simple but nicely executed. Good.

Bottle, 0.33l. Clear golden pour, small off-white layer on top. Minimal lacing. Grains, citrus and coriander on the nose. Some lager notes. Thin body, aggressive carbonation. Light texture, fizzy mouthfeel. Mildly bitter taste, some fruity tart. Aroma of grains and pale lager malts, grassy and herbal. Peppery touch. Citrus. Coriander. Short to medium finish, mildly bitter. Overall, not bad. Decent thirst quencher, I could easily see myself enjoying this one during hot summer days.

On tap at Craft Room Zagreb. Brown coloured, small off-white head, mild caramel in the nose. Toasted malt, caramel, light coffee and touch of dried fruits with mild nutty notes. Dry bitterish finish. To be honest expected more of this one.

Tap at a couple of places. The first sample was a yeast bomb so I put off rating it, the next one, at Craft Room, was fine though. Blackish body, lasting off white head. Clean heavy malty aroma, raisins, vague citric touches? Somewhat nutty and biscuity. Clean, nice, simple taste, a bit creamy, sweetish raisins, caramel, mild coffee, ends slightly bitterish and dry. Pretty good overall, as expected from this brewer, just not the best porter in a market with some fantastic ones.
